• Location: Saint Louis, Missouri – near Lindell Blvd
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson format: In-person or online (flexible)

Details

• Availability: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 4:00–8:00 PM / Saturday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (Open to alternative schedules)
• Lesson Frequency: 3 times per week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour each
• Current English level: To be assessed by the teacher
• Native/other languages: Portuguese
 

Student’s language needs and goals:

• Communicate confidently in daily situations
• Use English effectively in a professional/work environment
• Build practical vocabulary for everyday and work-related contexts
• Improve speaking and listening skills
• Gain confidence in real-life conversations

Additional Information

• Student enjoys shopping, pets, video games, pop music, and movies
• Lessons should incorporate the student’s interests to encourage engagement

Responsibilities

• Assess the student’s current English level and learning needs
• Design practical, structured lessons focused on daily and workplace communication
• Build speaking confidence through conversation-based activities
• Expand vocabulary relevant to personal interests and work use
• Provide clear feedback and strategies for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in English
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, linguistics, education, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience with adult learners
• Ability to adapt lessons to learner goals and interests
• Strong communication skills and learner-centered approach
