Slovak Language Teacher in Nitra, Slovakia

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Slovak Language Teacher to provide in-person customized lessons in Nitra.

Job Information:

• Class number: 181737
• Student: One male adult
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson frequency: Twice per week
• Availability: Monday & Wednesday between 8 am and 12 pm or between 4 pm and 8 pm
• Lesson length: 1 hour per session
• Location: at the student's workplace in Nitra (postal code: 949 01)
• Native language: English
• Student's language needs and goals: To have a basic understanding of business conversations in Slovak and have basic polite conversations. The student would like the lessons to focus on practicing - conversations on ordering at restaurants, going to the doctor, sharing feedback and opinions,  making friends, tips on being polite in the new country, a guide to shopping, business culture, and business language. Also, the student would like structured lessons with clear goals and objectives and a stepped plan for inside and outside lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of Slovak teaching experience
