German teacher (who speaks Slovenian) in Offenbach am Main, Germany

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Slovenian-speaking German Language Teacher to provide in-person customized lessons to children and adults in Offenbach am Main.

Job Information:

• Class numbers: 176432/176415
• Students: One adult and one 6-year-old child having separate, back-to-back classes
• Availability: Any weekday afternoon - starting from 4pm
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson frequency: 2 or 3 times per week
• Lesson length: 1 hour for adult; 30 or 45 minutes for child
• Students' location: Lessons are to be held at the family's home near Hotel Hansa (Bernardstraße 101), Offenbach am Main 63067
• Native language: Slovenian, also speak Serbo-Croatian
• Students' language needs and goals: Adult: Get used to the basics of the German language to be able to interact and complete day-to-day activities. // Child: She will be going to school in Germany; she will need help getting used to the basics in order to interact with schoolmates, teachers, and succeed at school. She is an energetic and full of life child.
• Additional information: They are not fluent in English.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of experience
