• Location: Lessons are to be held near or at the students' home in Kaukola, Mikkeli (50100)

• Preferred start date: ASAP

Details

• Availability:
  - Employee: Monday mornings
  - Spouse: Friday mornings

• Lesson Frequency:
  - Employee: Once per week
  - Spouse: Once or twice per week

• Lesson Duration:
  - Employee: 60 minutes per session
  - Spouse: 30 to 60 minutes per session

• Current language level: Complete beginner

• Native language: English

• Students' language needs and goals:
  - Employee: Basic communication; being able to talk to her team in Finnish and show she's making an effort for them. Listening comprehension tips and strategies; pronunciation and local accents; common phrases native speakers use every day; conversations with native speakers; how to be polite in the new country; ordering at restaurants; business culture.
  - Spouse: Day to day living (e.g. getting on a tram, ordering coffee, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
