English teacher for children in Brooklyn, NY

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to children in New York, NY.

• Students: 2 children, ages 4 and 9, taking individual classes, back-to-back.
• Availability:  Monday to Friday after 6 pm and one weekend morning
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 2
• Lesson Duration: 45-1h each child
• Student’s current location/time zone: Near Brooklyn Inn - Hoyt St, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA
• Relocation date/location (if applicable): Relocated
• Preferred platform: F2F
• Current target language level: Complete beginners
• Native and other spoken languages: French, Russian and Estonian
• Student’s language needs and goals: Daily life, school, socializing

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years experience
