Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are looking for English teachers to provide in-person customized lessons for different expat children based in Tuscaloosa County, AL.
We have three open classes in the area.
- Student: 4-year-old child
- Availability: Monday, Wednesday and Friday after 4 pm
- Lesson frequency: 2 x per week
- Location: Lessons are to be held at the family's home in Tuscaloosa, AL (ZIP: 35406)
- Current English level: Novice
- Native language: German
- Student’s language needs and goals: Preparing for school
- Student: 3-year-old child
- Availability: Tuesday afternoon
- Lesson frequency: 1 x per week
- Location: Lessons are to be held at the family's home in Vance, AL (ZIP: 35490)
- Current English level: Novice
- Native language: German, but speaks English at school
- Student’s language needs and goals: Parents have requested an assessment in person to help determine where the child is at with his level
- Student: 4-year-old child
- Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from 3:30 to 5:30pm
- Lesson frequency: 1 x per week
- Location: Lessons are to be held at the family's home in Northport, AL (ZIP: 35475)
- Current English level: Novice
- Native language: German, but speaks English at school
- Student's language needs and goals: General English speaking and reading, games in English/songs (everything to improve fluency in English)
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience
