• Student: 1 adult (male) who's recently relocated to Canada

• Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home (Clarendon Avenue, Toronto M4V 1H8; near Sir Winston Churchill Park)

• Preferred start date: ASAP

Details

• Availability: Monday to Friday 12pm to 2pm

• Lesson Frequency: Once per week

• Lesson Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)

• Current language level: A2 (would like to be assessed by teacher)

• Native and other spoken languages: Spanish (native), Portuguese

• Student's language needs and goals: Being able to communicate. His main goal is to develop his listening skills, as he has difficulty understanding different accents and people who speak quickly. He also wants to improve his vocabulary and eventually prepare to sit for a language exam.
   
• Learning preferences: Structured lessons with more conversation practice.
   
• Interests: Music, his dogs, backpacking around the world, and spending time with his family.

Responsibilities

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
