Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring English (EFL) Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in San Sebastián de los Reyes.

Job Information:

  • Ref. # 193756/193758/193759: Face-to-face English lessons for 3 family members (2 adults and one 9-year-old child) taking separate, back-to-back classes

  • Location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home in San Sebástian de los Reyes (28702)
  • Availability:
    - Father: Prefers Monday-Thursday between 8am and 4pm
    - Mother: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday between 4pm and 8pm
    - Child: Monday and Friday from 5pm, Tuesday from 6pm
  • Lesson Frequency: Twice per week

  • Lesson Duration: 60 minutes per session/person

  • Current target language level: Adults are Advanced, Child is Beginner

  • Language spoken at home: Spanish

  • Students' language needs and goals: The family needs to prepare to move to the United States. Father wants to strengthen his vocabulary and enhance his conversational skills. To achieve this, his lessons should emphasize building vocabulary, improving listening comprehension through practical tips and strategies, learning common phrases that native speakers use daily, practicing how to share feedback and opinions effectively, and expanding his knowledge of job-related vocabulary. Parents would also like to have structured lessons with an objective and a scheduled path to reach their goals. Mother wants to develop fluent English skills that will allow her to communicate confidently at work and handle everyday situations with ease. In addition, she would like her lessons to include reading and writing practice, work on pronunciation and local accents, and opportunities for conversations with native speakers. She is also interested in learning essential safety and emergency information, understanding parenting in the new country, and gaining insights into how schools operate there. Furthermore, she hopes to improve her presentation skills and explore cultural aspects such as cooking traditional food. She is interested in cooking, arts, people development, teaching. Parents want their child to be well-prepared for starting school in the United States. The lessons should begin by building a strong foundation in the language and gradually progress to more advanced skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

  • Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

  • Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

  • Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

  • Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience

  • Experience teaching children is desired
