Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Greek Language Teacher to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Dionysos.

Job Information:

• Ref. # 193797/193937: Face-to-face Greek lessons for 2 family members (1 adult and one 8-year-old child) taking separate classes

• Location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home close to the intersection between Antheon and Evmenous, Dionysos suburb, Athens.
• Availability:
  - Mother: Monday and Wednesday, between 11:00 and 14:00.
  - Child: Thursdays, starting at 17:00 or later.

• Lesson Frequency: Twice a week for mom; once a week for son

• Lesson Duration: 60 minutes per session/person

• Current target language level: Beginner. The family moved to Greece last year. The mother started from zero and took 34 hours between March and November 2025. The child started learning Greek at school in September 2025, but the main language used there is English.

• Native and other spoken languages:
  - Mother: Arabic native (she is from Jordan), German fluent, can also speak Spanish and English, Italian.
  - Child: Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and English.

• Students' language needs and goals:
  - Mother: 1. To be able to understand and respond in Greek, to have real conversations with people on the street, 2. To be able to integrate into the local society with the language skills, rather than just being an outsider or someone who speaks English. Speaking and understanding are priorities; grammar and writing are secondary.
  - Child: Learning Greek as a foreign language and improving basic communication.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience

• Experience teaching children is desired
